This site is not about how you can help me, but how can I help you!

Hi, I’m Alexander von Ness, the creative mind behind this website!

As one of the top-rated book cover designers for self-publishers, I’ve spent more than 30 years in graphic design, with over a decade as an art director in a branding agency.

For the last 15 years, I’ve been all about book cover design, self-publishing, and helping authors turn their stories into covers that truly stand out and connect with readers.

I lead The Self-Publishing and Book Marketing Group, supporting authors on their journey.

What you see in a finished cover is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind every design are hours—sometimes days—of research and preparation. I dive deep into your book’s genre, themes, and audience, finding those little details most people won’t even notice but that make all the difference.

This part of the process often takes longer than the actual design, but it’s what ensures the final result isn’t just eye-catching—it’s a perfect fit for your story.

I’m honored to have won and been a finalist in multiple international book cover design contests.

I work closely with authors worldwide, including small and middle-sized publishing houses, editors, book coaches, and book marketing experts, ensuring every project benefits from a collaborative spirit.

Beyond my studio, I’m an adjunct professor at a high school, where I teach students the skills that define top book cover designers for self-publishers, sharing the craft that’s shaped my career as one of the leading book cover designers for self-publishers.

Finally, I’m here to make sure your book gets the cover it deserves!
